I was tagged the other day by Bri over at Such Is My Life so I guess I will oblige and just get it over with.
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a post with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose people to be tagged.
1. If Zilla had been a girl his name would have been Jolene - much to the dislike of my mother, husband and pretty much everyone else.
2. I didn't care then and I don't care now that none of them liked the name LOL I carried the 10 pounder!
3. I cried for the last 3 appts of my pregnancy because the doctor absolutely refused to induce me earlier than 39 weeks even though we all knew I was carrying a future linebacker.
4. I had a breast reduction about 5 years ago that reduced me from a big DD to a C.
5. I was not able to breast feed Zilla because of my breast reduction - No milk ever came.
6. Even thinking about the five weeks that I tried to breast feed and couldn't makes me want to cry still. It was a very big disappointment to me.
7. I have dealt with major depression on and off for the last 12 years or so of my life.
8. I seem to be naturally drug resistant - NyQuil doesn't make me sleepy nor does benedryl or anything else that says it should.
9. I think NyQuil tastes really good (the red kind)
10. I'm a picker - I constantly look for boogies or ear wax or whatever on Zilla and if I see it I have to pick it!
11. I smile all the way to my insides when I hear Zilla snore - I don't' know why but it's soooooo adorable.
12. I really like to talk and share my thoughts - this is not always taken as a good thing by my husband.
13. I have no specific career dream - never have- I just want a job with some benefits, time off to be with my family and to work indoors.
14. I'm glad that my parents split up when I was two - I know that sounds odd but they were probably not very compatible (at least not the people they are now) and it was probably better for my brother and I this way.
15. I bought my son pink Dora pull-ups cause they were on sale.
16. He protests when I put the Dora pull-ups on him saying "no dora" and I make him wear them anyway.
17. The teeth that should be right next to by two front teeth aren't there in fact they never were. They are just missing! It creates a very annoying gap in my teeth.
18. I met my husband at a bar and I got his attention by grabbing his butt on the way to the dance floor.
19. I usually can't read a book twice - no matter how much time has gone by I can still remember the details.
20. I always have had bad dreams where I get hurt - no one else just me.
21. I really wish I was more crafty but I'm about as anti-crafty as you can get.
22. I have a very poor self image - I should improve on this but it's harder than it sounds.
23. I had really hoped that Zilla would have red hair and blue eyes.
24. I do NOT want a little girl - that is IF we have any more.
25. I really want a minivan even though I only have one kid.
Wow ok that wasn't that hard I guess. I guess I'm going to tag Katie, Rick and Christina - you don't have to do it but it's fun so why not! lol

The Kindest Cut of All
Some of you IRL anyway may know that I have cut and donated my hair in the past. I like long hair in theory only because it gets in my way and well I shed like a pug so it gets EVERYWHERE!! Once my hair grows long I decide to cut it but then want it longer and grow it back out - it's a horrible cycle but I do it constantly. Anyway this weekend I decided that once again it was time to chop it off for a good cause. I cut off the 8 inches that I had grown over the last year or so. I will be donating those 8 wonderful inches to Pantene Beautiful Lengths - you should check them out! They take 6 ponytails of 8 inches and turn it into a wig that is then donated to a Cancer Society which then GIVES it to women who have lost their hair because of Cancer!
So I am 1/3 of the way to having donated an entire wig! I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to be helping out other women! So for the price of shipping I'll be giving the hair that got on my nerves to someone who will really appreciate it! If you've got 8 (or more) inches just hanging around maybe you should think about it to!! Here are my before and after shots:

All Aboard!!!
"All Aboard!!" The goodnight train is leaving town so grab your teddies and climb right up because your bed is ready!!! - thats from Zilla's fav book The Goodnight Train that we real every night before bed. Anyway Aunt Mel came up to visit this weekend and she so lovingly brought Zilla his train bed and lets just say he LOVES LOVES LOVES it!! He was trying to play with/in it before we even began to put it together and has enjoyed it every minute since! It's got a little toy box on the front, a night light (ours doesn't work for some reason), a shelf on top and small tracks on either side so he can put his trains on it! Anyway I'm just soo happy that he's in love! THANKS Aunt Mel for bringing it up! Here is Zilla enjoying his new bed!
My kids are Odd
My kids (Zilla and the dog that is) are so weird they like to sleep in the oddest places and positions! The other day Zilla, who hadn't had a nap, decided to climb up on the couch and curl up behind me and nod off. He was SOOOO cute and even though my legs were going numb I stayed still cause I didn't want to wake him!! Daisy is the oddest dog I've ever seen. The other night she decided that she was going to try and curl up in between my dresser and the wall where the dirty clothes were. The hamper is normally there but I had been washing clothes so she tried to fit her big butt in that small opening - it was pretty funny. Here are the pics:

Things that amuse a toddler
Thing one: Q-Tips! Zilla was (i say was because they are now located on top of the closet) OBSESSED with playing in the Q-Tips. I had them in a drawer in my bathroom up until today. Well little turd figured out that they were there and would actually sneak off when I was not paying attention -you know busy with other mom things- to go in and shut the door and play quietly with the q-tips. He would get them all out of the box throw them up in the air and push his trains through them. I'm not sure why no one thought of these brilliant uses before. This has been a daily thing for him - if he's quiet I go looking in my bathroom.
Thing two: toilet paper! Today while I was checking my e-mail Zilla managed to unroll an entire roll of Quilted Northern Double Roll! He was bringing it (in clumps) into the living room and sitting it on the couch! Why you ask? Why not - who doesn't need some toilet paper on the couch?
Think he's crying out for attention? Yeah I didn't think so either - he's probably just being a boy! lol

Wow it was HARD work
Or maybe Hardly work is more like it. Today I signed up for my first shift at my at home phone gig. It wasn't a long shift but I took what I could get. Anyway I was kinda nervous but as it turned out that was all for nothing! I sat here at my computer waiting for a call the WHOLE time. I never once got a call so I made my sad hourly wage (but hey I still get to stay home with my monster and thats whats really important) for doing NOTHING. Well actually I did journal some and played a few games of solitaire oh and I enjoyed the silence cause DZ took Zilla out for the afternoon. Not to bad for a afternoon of non-work.
**Well Rick You can wign up with West but I have to tell you that it will take months to actually get hired! They take as long as the government to offer jobs!! lol

Tornado Alert!!
My son aka the tornado has been through here lately. The last two days when I put him in his room for nap he has decided to take his anger (how dare mommy put him to bed when he's actually tired - the nerve of that woman) out on his poor unsuspecting room. Here are actual photos of the aftermath:
Yes thats him sleeping on the floor behind his bed - DZ found him this way - guess all that destruction tuckered him out!
I swear that boy has one crazy temper on him!

Movie Review
My MIL got us a 3 month thing to Netflix and I have to say that we LOVE it! We have only had it since we got to the new house - but we had a movie here the next day! - but we've seen quite a few movies. Here are my thoughts on them:
The Dutchess: It follows Georgiana, duchess of Devonshire, in this adaptation of Amanda Foreman's novel. Unhappily married to the duke of Devonshire Georgiana indulges in extravagant vices and begins a scandalous affair with politician. It was really good - I enjoyed it quite a bit and so did DZ. I thought that it would be kinda stuffy but not at all and it gave a good glimpse at a time long ago. It's certainly worth seeing!
Hancock: Starring Will Smith as a kinda unliked and unwilling super hero. I had heard mixed reviews but I enjoyed it. The ending wasn't at all what I was expecting so that was nice for a change. It has Charleze Theron in it and although I wasn't 100% liking her in this role she didn't take away from the film at all. It wasn't something I'd buy but it made for a nice movie night!
Little Miss Sunshine: Follows a family on their way to the Little Miss Sunshine pageant and all the 'stuff' in between. This was totally funny and I couldn't help but laugh throughout the whole thing. I won't lie there were some things that they could have elaborated on and some things they could have left out totally but it was certainly funny. Worth watching but maybe something to catch on TBS or something.
We have also checked out: Thomas Classics Disc One, School House Rock and Pixar Short films. Thomas was well Thomas and Zilla loved it! School House Rock was a blast from the past and had some very groovy music but I think that Zilla might still be a little too young to "get it" still. Pixar short films was by far the biggest let down I've had in a while - I really thought it would be full of super cute little gems but well it wasn't. Oh well you can't win them all right. I'm looking forward to Ghost Town, Over Her Dead Body, August Rush and The Queen - those are whats on the queue right now!
Oh on a side note I just finished The Nanny Diaries book my friend gave me forever ago and it's really funny. I don't know how it relates to the movie because I haven't seen it but the book is full of lots and lots of quick wit and tons of cussing LOL read it!

The Pen
Um I mean fence has been put up by DZ and it looks WAY better than I had hoped for. I thought maybe that we would look totally redneck read: fit in because we didn't use chain link or the wood fencing panels. We ended up going to Tractor Supply and getting hog pen panels and putting those up. Yep sounds pretty redneck but it looks pretty good IMO and it does the job. Here are some shots of the boy and dog in the back inside the new pen um fence:
This one is of Zilla playing in a couple of the nine new "beaches" we have now! He made sure to visit each one on that first day HAHA
Trying to be a "good mom" and go along with our beach thing we have going on I decided to brave the garage (still not unpacked) to obtain the actual beach toys for Zilla to have at his "beach" see exhibits a and b:
Little did I know that my niceness - thats the end of that for 2009 by the way - would come back to slap me. On my way out to give another toy to Zilla I find him on the OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE!!!!!! Yep that little turd had climbed under the grill and through the porch railings and was free! At the sight of me though he climbed back in and promptly received his smack on the fanny. Well the nice people at Tractor Supply had accidentally given us ten hog panels instead of nine So.... I drug that 16 ft panel from one side of the house to the other - the kids in the passing school bus got a big laugh I'm sure- and rigged it up so he's really trapped now!! Here's my handy work:
Yes those are bungee cords and yes I did manage to make one smack my leg while getting them situated! It will work for now until we figure something else out.

Baby Proofing, Maps and Trains
I know they don't seem related but they are - well for me anyway. Our first day in the new house was full of them.
Oh the first night (before we crashed on our air mattresses) I dismantled a little baby proofing gone wild. Seriously ladies when the books tell you to baby proof thats great but come on this is just going too far I think.
Thats what I pulled out of my KITCHEN - yes those were all in my kitchen. She had them on the doors and the drawers! I don't know how people deal with those things they are sooooo annoying.
Before we left civilization um I mean Savannah we had made a final journey to a decent mall and found a little beauty of a Train table WITH trains and tracks for half off so we snagged it! It's small enough for Zilla's room but still big enough to play on. So that first day we set it up and Zilla has been playing with it ever since. It's great because when he's over the trains we can turn the things over and use it as a lego table or puzzles/games. He really enjoys it because it's just his size and was a steal for that price - shoot we could sell the tracks for what we paid for the whole thing - well we could have. I ended up having to gorilla glue the bridge part to itself because he kept knocking it over and was getting totally po'd so instead of listening to that and having to fix it anytime his booty bumped the table we just glued it. It's all good he will get plenty of play out of it. Here he is with his new table:
Here is Zilla helping to navigate our way through town LOL

Welcome to Podunk!
Yep thats where I now live! Actually it's a small, very small, town named Daleville but Podunk could totally describe it. There is a grocery outlet and a food giant - the only places to go and "shop" are the family dollar and dollar general oh and the gas station! There is some fast food places (right outside the gate) and a small library but all in all it's pretty small for this Orlando native. It will certainly take some time to get used to. It's so stinking quiet that you can hear crickets and frogs at night! Anyway here's the new house:
It's very cute but definitely has a big country feel especially considering some of the wallpaper choices inside lol. It's a tad smaller than our previous house but well the pickings were quite slim so since beggers can't be choosers we are here for the long haul. It did feel kinda big before we brought all our of HUGE furniture into it. I swear we have some big heavy pieces of furniture and the movers were none to happy about it because as you can see in the picture we are slightly up a hill...oh well. It's got a cute little front porch and another porch in back but no fence - so DZ is rectifying that this weekend. When it's done I'll take pics and show you the pen um I mean the fence for the kiddos. All in all we are happy with what we got for the price we got it.
Zilla loves all the "beach" and the railings on the porch as you can see:
I'm still looking for the waves but he insists it's a beach LOL.
As I said before we were here for like a week with nothing but what we toted here ourselves. Well luckily we got our shipment of household goods Thursday. Only a few things were broken such as: my desk (it snapped into like 3 pieces), a stand up fan, my shower rack, a serving bowl (not my fiesta thank goodness), the treadmill (Aunt D I will let you know what is gonna happen about that - just a few cracks in the side rails) and a figurine from Zilla's room. We did however come up missing the top to one of our end tables - who knows where that is. All in all it could have been soooo much worse so I'm happy. We did have to unpack it all - thats not exactly what they told us but oh well it's all good. The house still looks like a disaster but I'm sure it will get situated soon. I also mapped out the mileage in my neighborhood so that I can go on walks/runs and DZ & I plan to start switching off so that we can go to the gym.

First 2009 Survey - a little late
Will you be looking for a new job? I am going to be starting a new job shortly
Will you be looking for a new relationship? Um no I don't think the hubster would appreciate that much haha
New house? We got new digs on the 2nd!
What will you do different in 2009? I plan to get my butt in gear so that maybe I will actually want to be in some pictures with my munchkin!
New Years resolution? To be more active on a daily basis.
What will you not be doing in 2009? going to the mall with my friends :(
Any trips planned? We are thinking of going to Disney (they have an awesome Military Package going on) and I'm sure that we will be visiting family and friends!!
Wedding plans? For me? Um nope about 7 years late for that
What's on your calendar? Birthdays and our 8th Wedding Ann.
What can't you wait for? DZ to get promoted and my dog to stop thinking that it's ok to get in the trash and not listen.
What would you like to see happen different? I would just adore it if Zilla would actually NOT throw things when he doesn't get his way - such a temper on that kid.
What about yourself will you be changing? I plan to make myself get in shape - well at least a shape besides round LOL
What happened in '08 that you didn't think would ever happen? We had to go to marriage counseling
Will you be nicer to the people you care about? I don't think I'm ever not nice on purpose but thats always something I strive for.

Okay so lets back up some
*Pressing the Rewind button* Okay so DZ and I decided to let the Army move us cause I didn't feel like packing an entire house plus do Christmas and watch the tornado. Well the packers were scheduled to come on the 29th and the movers the 30th. So bright and early on the 29th they call and say they were on their way along with the movers - guess they were in town and just decided to do it all in one day. So I rushed Zilla over to my SIL's and got back as they were pulling up. The two packers plus the 4 movers quickly meant that 6 people were going to be packing my house at the same time which meant that I wasn't going to be able to watch them to make sure they didn't break or steal stuff. DZ and I were running around like crazy because this was our first Army move so we had zero clue what to expect. Anyway the day was progressing along nicely until there was a little accident - not with us or our stuff but of the vehicular kind. Our old house was in a neighborhood and on a two lane street, well the huge freaking semi they used to haul our stuff took up a lane so people were actually having to remember traffic rules to yield and all that. Well if you've ever been to Savannah, GA you already know that people there are incredibly unable to properly yield for the most part. Well a young lady who was I guess being impatient decided to go when it wasn't her turn and when she realized that a truck was coming (whom had the right of way) she swerved and hit the moving semi! Yep thats right she, in an effort to save a few minutes of time, totally jacked up her oh wait nope not even hers but her boyfriends car. She was VERY shaken up by it understandably and it caused the movers guy to get a little behind on the inventory of the house. The funny thing was that the cop that responded was the very same cop who had helped out DZ once before AND had also responded to his motorcycle crash!! Weird - totally a twilight zone moment but he's a nice cop so it's all good. Here's the pictures of her car - I think the semi won:
Before packing/moving day DZ and I had been seriously going through our house (mostly me but he did help some) to try and get rid of stuff because well we had gathered A LOT of crap that we just didn't use. Anyway I managed to yard sale, craigslist, freecycle and trash a whole bunch - not enough but thats a different story - started our new year off nicely and hopefully helped some others in the process. Here is our moving day trash pile (that was the same day as trash pick-up):
So they got everything all tagged and loaded that day by 5pm! We went and brought Zilla home and set up our air mattresses and his toddler bed **he has been sleeping in it ever since - GOODBYE CRIB!!!!** and started cleaning. On the 31st our landlord came by to take a look and we got our whole deposit back - They really were just awesome people and I wish them all the best!! We went to chuck e cheese with my brother and SIL and then stayed New Years Eve with our good friends before heading west LOL. It's a LONG LONG boring drive across Georgia like seriously long - it doesn't look like a wide state but it is. It's especially long when your toddler had decided that he wanted to get up and celebrate the new year from 3am to 5:30am. We checked into our hotel digs and signed on our house on the 2nd. Ok more about that to come!! I need to go unpack a few boxes!!

Back in the Land of the Living
OMG people I have been dying this past week to just reach out and touch someone. We finally made the big move and have had NO internet, tv or phone!!!! For a WEEK!!!
I can't tell you the joy it was to finally see the satellite guy, hear a dial tone and see the lovely lights of our modem flicker. You would have thought it had been years considering how happy we were. Anyway there is SOOO much to update you all on but well my computer thinks it's being funny by crawling like a snail. Anyway I'm off to try and restart It then I may be back - if not I will be at nap time tomorrow.
