Out with the Old

My laptop has officially went to laptop Heaven or more than likely Hell for what it's put me through. Anyway it has died and guess what DZ said I can get a new one!!!! That's my good news well that and the fact that it was merciful enough to let me get my pictures off of it before it went to the computer hospice house. The bad news is that it died before I could put all the pics on photobucket so my Christmas pictures are on the external hard drive but won't be on photobucket until a little bit later. I might be able to get them up tonight after cleaning and before bed (on an air mattress!!) but I'm making no promises considering that tonight will be Zilla's first night on the toddler bed. There will be nothing but him and the bed in his room so we'll see how it goes - I'm expecting lots and lots of screaming but who knows he may surprise us. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow! Ta Ta I'm off to search online for a good deal on a laptop!

Merry Christmas To All!!

We had a wonderful Christmas in the Zilla household. It was nice and quiet. We celebrated Jesus's Birth with just the four (including the DogZilla) of us this year. Normally we venture over to our Very Best Friend's house but he was deployed and her and the kids went to visit family so we just hung out for our last Christmas in the great state of Georgia.

Zilla got up early - I SWEAR that kid has an alarm clock in his room - and the whole unwrapping thing was pretty much done by 7:30am LOL. He LOVED pretty much everything he got and seeing that it was almost all Thomas related that was no surprise. He did come out with a few favorites though and they included: His VERY ANNOYING Thomas toothbrush (I'm saving all loud singing things for well never I'm not buying them anymore), his new take along Thomas track set and his Thomas the train ornament. The toothbrush sounded like it would be great that was until he decided that he was going to play it NONSTOP for over an hour!!! That's right I listened to the theme to Thomas the whole morning until finally he forgot about it - I can't promise that the toothbrush will survive the move. The ornament (i think i might have blogged about it before) is still currently being clutched in his tiny hand as he's sleeping LOL. He seems to like the take along track which is good because that's the only track that won't be packed up come Monday! He seemed to like his books and stuff too but he mainly stuck with what he loved in fact the toothbrush was in his stocking and we had to practically beg him to open anything after that! He got some things from our friends and my Brother and SIL as well but it's late so I'm gonna chat about them tomorrow as well as add pictures then too ok? Sounds good to me nighty night

Kids Grow Up Too Fast

Today we all had a good laugh when I was able to actually put on my friends nine year old's shoes! They fit pretty good and even looked good on me - did I mention that they are boys shoes..lol. I am luckily taller than him, at least for now, but he's catching up on me pretty quick!

Got my Heart Checked today

Yep I had the pleasure of having the fun old "lets see if mom's heart is working" check today - 3 separate times. We'll start with the biggie.
Check #1: This morning after DaddyZilla left to do some final things at work I was attempting to get things done in the living room when I noticed the sheer silence in my house - not a good sign ever - so I went to investigate. I went to my room and into my bathroom since zilla likes to play in there. Well when I got in there I didn't see Zilla however what I did see scared the living crap out of me. I saw smears of blood on: the floor, the sick, the toilet, the bathroom plunger, the shower door and the tiles around my shower door!!! So as I'm trying not to freak out I walk back into my room to look for him since he was making zero noise and then saw more blood on my bed sheets and a towel then I finally found Zilla standing in DZ's closet. I picked him up and got it cleaned off and bandaged then went to go look for what could have cut him. There are a couple previously broken tiles around the shower door so I thought that was it until I saw DZ's razor laying on the floor. Sure enough Zilla had gotten it off the sink and cut his finger - I'm just glad that it wasn't too bad cause it certainly could have been a heck of a lot worse. We will be finding a very high spot for the razors - i swear the kid can not stay away from things that do not belong to him!
Check #2: Zilla was playing in the spare bed room when I heard DZ tell him to get out and he came running up to me. Well what do I see but my son with something red on his upper lip as he's running away from me and back to the office. I RAN in there all the while yelling "what happened" -see above as to why that would totally concern me- only to find out that it was from a red sharpie marker that he found. Well I can tell you that red sharpie marker on your kids face looks like BLOOD!!! not good we didn't like that at all.
Check #3: DZ decided to go up to the mall and we grabbed some Chick Fil A (you know since we won't be even near one after we move - i needed my CFA fix) so we sat at a table. As we are sitting there eating Zilla decided that he was going to try and lean over to put something in the stroller. Well that doesn't sound like a big deal except that the stroller was somewhat behind him and it rolled away when he put his hand on it causing him to fall out of the chair. It made me and the table of women behind us all gasp.

I swear I REALLY didn't need all those tests people I could have told you my heart was good to go. Hopefully I can go a while without having to deal with that again cause I can tell you that blood, things that look like blood and your kid falling head first toward a tile floor are NOT fun. So no more tests ok zilla?

More fun from my Weekend

As we were waiting very NOT patiently (since Zilla woke me up at 3am) this past Sat for the stinking Realtors to open up so we could look at houses we were driving around and we came across the craziest thing I've seen in awhile. In downtown Enterprise sits this little gem:
Photobucket
Yes you ARE seeing a working fountain in the middle of an intersection. Now here in Georgia we have some traffic circles (gosh I hate those) with things in the middle - we also have 'squares' BUT this my friends was NOT one of those. The intersection in question was just a regular intersection except that it had a fountain in it. Like it fell off the back of a truck on the road and they just left it there..lol. Small town weirdness I guess LMAO.

Dothan is home to the Peanut Festival and I have to say they are darn proud of peanuts around them there parts. I mean this is a HUGE deal there - so much so that they have life size (our size not theirs lol) replicas of peanuts all over the town. Here is the "Shopping Nut" in the middle of their Mall:
Photobucket

During our stay over the weekend we had the pleasure of experiencing the Army Lodging on post. The room was nice sized and contained a kitchenette type thing complete with plates and whatnot and two beds. They even had a playground, which Zilla totally got to enjoy, a decent breakfast and it was quite a bit cheaper than staying at a regular hotel. One would think that we would have enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely stay right? NO This lodging had some of the worst mattresses (I'm still not sure thats what they were) I have ever slept on in my life! I'm not even kidding that the floor would have felt the same. Lets put it this way, the last night we slept on the sleeper sofa and it was WAY better! I guess we got what we paid for there. Here are some pics of Zilla enjoying himself:
Picking and smelling the flowers
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Playing in the leaves and pushing his train through the sand:
Photobucket Photobucket
DZ and Zilla looking for his shoes under the bed (LOL - it was so funny cause he was copying DZ) and eating soap - yes he's odd - we know:
Photobucket Photobucket

I also just had to stop and get a picture of this bench that was outside the Army Lodging. It was SOOOO cute and very clever to do the American Flag on the front and then the Army seal on the sides - plus why not have an excuse to take another picture of my super duper cute son right?

Weekend from Hades Part II

Okay as promised I have more from my weekend in Alabama. I have to say that either the Realtors there REALLY suck or the profession in general is just declining. DaddyZilla and I went around and looked at TONS of houses but only ended up going into a few because of various reasons but the few we went into left a bad bad taste in our mouth - the houses and the one realtor.

The first house we thought we were going to love it but once we saw it's condition we asked the realtor (who should know this crap btw) if things could/would be done and she kept saying she "didn't know" - she didn't know if the deck would be replaced, or if the yard extended beyond the fence, or if they were planning to fix the carpet, laundry chute, sink or thermostat. We quickly marked off that house because we had no way of knowing if they would do anything unless we put a deposit on it! It wasn't even rentable to me and certainly not worth what they were charging - she didn't even walk through the house with us she just stayed in the livingroom!

The next house we saw was sadly with the same real estate place and that went even worse. There was IMO a possible electrical issue (the outlet was hanging out of the wall at an angle - you couldn't put it back) and there was "something" wired into a bedroom wall and bolted into the outlet and the lady didn't even know how to work the alarm. It was already off my list -because it had like zero dining room- but I went outside to look at the huge back yard when we noticed the broken window that had been TAPED with freakin packing tape! After pointing it out the lady totally didn't seem concerned and said nothing about it being fixed (probably wanted a deposit first) and when DZ asked her if there had been a break in she replied "well you can always call the local police department and check if they have any records of one" UM WTF We can call? Um no hunny that would be YOUR FREAKING JOB!!!!! She also told us that we would have to put a deposit on the house before she could even ask the owners if they would consider our dog - the ad said pets neg - we have to put a deposit on it before we even know if its possible to live there?!?! Anyone else find this insane? I just think this lady was pizzed because when she was trying to pressure us into buying a house we shut her down. Yeah - you people can't even manage to be good rental agents I'm surely gonna buy a house from you oh wait or not.

The weekend from Hades Part I

This past weekend we dropped the dog with friends and headed to Alabama for a little house hunting fun. Well I'm not too sure about the fun part but we certainly had an interesting weekend. We had 19 houses on our "drive by" list when we left so fast forward 7 hours and one time zone we started our hunt. We did a 1 to 10 scale on the houses and just marked off anything that rated 5 or less - well lets just say that the market in Southern Alabama isn't rocking cause we were marking off way more than we weren't! We did end up calling the realtors on a couple to look at the insides (more to come on that later) and we were sorely disappointed. Some of these houses didn't even look ready to rent, sorta like the previous people just packed up and left that day! The realtors there apparently do not comprehend that people who work during the week would be wanting to look for houses on the weekends because they ALL close at noon on Sat and wouldn't even consider do anything on Sunday. So after the few rough looking houses we saw Sat morning DaddyZilla and I were about ready to cry because the options (in our price range) were dwindling fast. We did find one house Sunday that looked promising so we saw it Monday morning and ended up putting a deposit down on it - not a lease just a deposit. That seems odd to me that they wouldn't want us to sign a lease just yet - like maybe they are going to yank it from us if someone else came along. Oh well - I don't have a picture of it because I think Zilla deleted it off my camera and the people took it off their website in less than an hour! Part II of our weekend from Hades will include the realtor issues we faced...soon enough!

The Cake Thief Strikes Again

The infamous cake thief has struck again - this time with birthday cake. Zilla apparently just can't help himself when it comes to cake. Sorry Sara!

B-Day party fun and new furniture

Thursday night we went to a friends to help celebrate her littlest one's 2nd birthday. She now has TWO 2 year olds!! Well at least for a couple weeks anyway. It was tons of fun and the kids managed to chow down the pizza, cake and ice cream like pros. Some of us liked the cake more than others but anyway it was lots of fun and SaraBear (as her parents call her) totally enjoyed herself and all her gifts. I can't believe she's already two seems like just yesterday that I attended her 1st birthday party!

After the Party we went to go look at some new bedroom furniture that I found on craigslist. The dressers we currently have are on their last legs and won't survive another couple moves. so I had been searching for something a little nicer but also something we could afford. I found a really nice set that included a dresser with mirror, chest of drawers, two night stands and the headboard/foot board.

I'll update with pictures when we get home from our little trip.

**Ok for some reason it saved this as a draft but I wrote and at least though I posted it this weekend. Oh well it was probably that rough interest at the lodging. Here are the pictures:

Fleao has spoken

HAHA Fleao is DaddyZilla's creation (you know kinda like the psychic Cleo lol) for when he makes predictions or wants to be a wisenhimer. Anyway Fleao has decided that it will snow here in Savannah, GA. LMAO I personally think that Fleao may have had a little something something in his coffee this morning but I guess we'll see. haha

Bug Eyed Gymbo Moms

Today I decided to join a friend of mine at the mall (to avoid doing the million things I need to do before moving) so we got dressed and met them up there. Zilla is extremely hot natured and gets warm very quickly which he did today at the mall in the long sleeved shirt i put on him. While in Gymboree (my weakness is super cute kiddo clothes) Zilla got all red because he was hot so I went in the back and looked for a short sleeved shirt to buy and put on him. I found a cute shirt for $3.99 total SCORE BUT it was a double sleeved long sleeve shirt so I took it to the register to buy it. Why you ask considering I was needing a short sleeved shirt? Because I intended -and did- to destroy it by cutting the sleeves off of this brand new Gymbo shirt. Let me tell you that I got some bug eyed looks from other mothers and the manager when I took the scissors to the long sleeves. Wasn't a biggie to me I do it all the time so that Zilla can wear them longer than one season. He looks super cute in his short sleeved polo shirt by the way and I couldn't have found a better deal at walmart HAHA.

The Tree is Up!

We put our Christmas Tree this past weekend and I have to say that it looks GREAT!! Last year after Christmas my Aunt and Mom found an awesome deal on a nice artificial tree so I got rid of what DZ called our "charlie brown" tree and got this one. It is soo much fuller and looks as close to real as a fake one can LOL. Anyway we got it all put up and it looks good. Zilla wasn't a huge fan of actually putting ornaments on but we managed to fake a few pictures haha.
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Potatoes are for Eating?!?

Yeah I don't think that Zilla realized that Potato Buds are actually for eating (after being prepared of course) and not for playing in.
The other day he was playing in his room, or so I thought, but come to find out DZ found him in the hallway and insisted I come to look. This is what I found:
PhotobucketPhotobucket

The WHOLE box of Potato Buds was dumped on the floor and he was just having a good old time playing in them. I swear that kid has some issues staying away from the boxes in the kitchen cabinet!

Playdate, Gifts and Cookies...Oh my!!

Last week was pretty much Zilla and I's last 'real' playdate here in Georgia. It was our Gift & Cookie Exchange as well so that made it a super awesome playdate. Since the mutiny there are only a few of us left so there weren't as many cookies and gifts to be had as last year but it was fun all the same. We had Buckeyes, my stained glass cookies, cake cookies and some chocolate chocolate chip cookies in attendance and they were yummy - all the guys at DZ's work totally dug them, they were gone in a matter of an hour! Zilla totally got an awesome Thomas the Train Poncho Towel - he wasn't too keen on actually putting it on but he really liked looking at it and it makes noise!!! The kids all had a blast and us adults had a good time too - to bad it will be the last one since people are going out of town then the holidays and we will be moving after that. Oh well all good things must come to an end right?

I do want to say a BIG Thank You to those who were strong enough to last in the playgroup and also to those who left - it has been an excellent two years and I'm super glad that Zilla and I were able to know each of you and your children!
PhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket

The Train Ride

I took Zilla on the train ride they put up in our mall every year and he LOVED it - duh! In the line he was super excited and couldn't wait to get on. Once we paid our money and got on he just kinda was looking around mesmerized and sat that way for a lap or two. After that he came out of his mini coma and started pointing at everything talking like crazy about everything he saw. He got off nicely (I totally expected a fight) but after he realized we were actually walking away from the train he went stiff and wouldn't get back in the stroller. Needless to say I have a feeling we won't be going into that mall without visiting the train again - he's a smart kid and knows his way around the malls.

We're back!

Hello I'm back - sorry I've been gone so long but well I just have been so stinkin stressed out about moving and the Holiday's in general that I wasn't feelin the blog. Sorry. Normally I handle stress well but it's been a rough couple of months with a few blows here and there that I just didn't expect and now moving on top of that is just too much. If you were to walk into my house right now you'd have no idea that in like 20 some odd days we will be living in another state! So needless to say it's a crazy time in the Zilla house!

Anyway I'm back, for now, I say for now because in a few weeks we will be moving and I'm sure I'll be without the Internet for a few days at least. I do promise though to at least try harder to get past my stress and keep you all updated. As soon as my camera battery charges (the boy likes to play with it hence causing the battery to die frequently) I will post some pics and get you all up to date.

Black Friday Madness

Today started off the beginning to the Holiday Shopping Season (even though I'm pretty much done with mine) so the stores tried to grab customers attention with great deals. My friend Bri and I decided to get up WAY to early and join the crazies. I woke up this morning at 4am - yes you read that correctly - I know I know I'm not really a morning person and to actually get up at 4am is insane but well that's what the holidays will do to you! HA

Anyway I went and picked up at 4:25 this morning and we headed over to Movie Stop to get some cheap movies - they had pretty much everything Bri was looking for and even had Krispy Kreme there! After that we headed across the street to Office Depot because I was interested in a lap top they had (mine is like 6 years old and S-L-O-W) but I think everyone that left Best Buy in the same plaza had that idea cause there were about 60-75 people in line waiting at 5:20 for a store that opened at 6 - yeah it was a good deal but not that good of a deal. Needless to say we just drove away and headed to Target with a quick stop at Starbucks (duh). This is what that looked like:
PhotobucketPhotobucket

We got in there pretty easily and got the couple things we were scoping out then jetted off to Bass Pro for some thermal underwear for DaddyZilla (if gets cold riding the hog!) and then to Gymboree. Gymbo was having an awesome deal on their fleece and outerwear so we snagged some of those deals then headed back to target. The second time in target we meaning Bri cause I didn't buy anything there had a longer wait for a line. While she was in line I got in line for the Potty when I witnessed some lady pretty much forcing some guy to leave the men's room so she could use it - she wasn't even old or pregnant - that's just rude people. Anyway then we headed to Walmart where I actually scored a pair of Thomas $4 pj's in Zilla's size!! Other than that they were pretty much tapped out of the good stuff so we headed to Kmart and then to the sears parking lot - that's as far as we got cause there wasn't ANY parking that wouldn't' involve jumping a curb and grass - um no. We were home by 10 and I didn't even get one thing for myself - oh well it was all about DZ and ZillaRoo today and I'm cool with that!!! I didn't witness any real craziness today you know no one trying to kill each other over anything (apparently we missed that at walmart from what we heard) just a lot of people running around like crazy spending money!!! I did manage to get a nap, Thank the Lord, this afternoon or else I would have fallen over. Since then we have just been dealing with a cranky toddler that instead of napping had a bed jumping marathon.

Thanksgiving Day Fun!!

Yesterday was the National Day of Thanks aka Thanksgiving. We went to our best friend's house (as per tradition around here) and I have to say we ate a lot and had a bunch of fun. While we were finishing up in the Kitchen the kiddos were playing outside and Zilla used a big boy swing all by himself and was doing SOOO good without any help - shoot he even got off the swing perfectly WHILE IT WAS IN MOTION! Oh my goodness he's growing up so fast - that was his first time on a regular swing (his has a back) and I was just amazed at how great of a job he was doing. The kids also played on the slide and Zilla was also found digging a small hole with a matchbox backhoe!!!! Dinner was AWESOME - we did it semi potluck like every year and ended up with tons of yummy food. After dinner and before the football game the menfolk played Rockband and it was sooo cool and fun to watch. DZ did the drums and did a great job. Here are some pics for your enjoyment!! Hope you all had a great day too!

Letter of Intent

I sent off our letter of intent to vacate our rental house today. It's so crazy because I've known we were moving for a while now but today it just seems so final and it kinda puts a wet blanket over my shoulders. I'm glad that we are leaving our current Duty Station but it's hard because this is the place where my friends (no matter how few there are now) are and where my son was born and where his friends are also my brother and his wife and son are here. It's just a bitter sweet happy for me and it makes me want to cry. I'm also not looking forward to the actual move and unpacking. My house looks like a tornado (um can we say Zilla) hit and it seems crazy to think that we will be all packed up in less than 30 days. My best friend told me today that "it'll be ok" and she's right - mainly because there is no choice but to be ok - kinda like deployment - nothing else you can do besides be ok. Ok I'm gonna go put my big girl panties on now and stop my whining. Have a good day y'all!!

Teaser

I was SOOOOOO excited about seeing 24 come on tonight that is until about half was through when I realized that tonight's 2 hour "premiere" was really only a teaser for Season 7 that won't start for 49 more friggin days!!!!! There is not an explicative big or nasty enough for my opinion of Fox right now. I hate them. BUT it does look like Season 7 will be a heck of a lot better than last season which sadly sucked just a bit. Damn well I guess I will have something to look forward to once we move. Oh wait I will have to watch it an hour later than I could now - double damn stupid moving to a different time zone. Oh I'm so upset I don't know if I'll be able to sleep now. Blah

Fun Weekend

This weekend was pretty fun and interesting. A friend and I held a yard sale on Saturday and even though it was colder than crap (for GA) we had a steady stream of people all morning and we didn't do too bad. I made like $100 and my friend ended up with about $20 after she paid me for all the stuff she bought from me LOL. That's how it works right when you have yard sales with friends you just trade crap HAHA. After the yard sale DaddyZilla, Zilla and I watched the Ohio football game with them and then we came home to watch Florida State play. Both teams WON!!!!! Today we had a birthday breakfast for Daddyzilla at Cracker Barrel - can we say YUM!! Then went to the mall and walked around. Zilla did not nap today so hopefully he will go to bed nicely tonight cause 24 premieres tonight! Ok I'm off to read my book and watch DaddyZilla doing his medicine ball exercises - oh yeah!

Feel like crap

That's exactly what you feel like when someone (even unknowingly) makes you feel like a bad parent. That happened to me today - someone made me totally feel like a horrible incapable mother. I don't think they meant to hurt me as deeply as they did but unfortunately that doesn't make it sting any less. I know I'm not perfect but I do my best. Not much more I can do than my best except hope that it's good enough.

There are just some things you never forget and this will certainly be one of those.

Southside Daycare is now Open

Southside Daycare(my house - inside joke) is back open for the evening. I will have 5 kids all under 5 in my house in about an hour. I'm super excited about all of this not so sure DaddyZilla will share that sentiment especially since he's only aware of 1 of those 4 extras - oh well he'll get over it I mean whats 3 extra kids right? LOL

On a side note the reason the daycare closed previously is because I haven't been charging for my services - after tonight we will be rethinking that policy. LMAO

Happy Birthday Nanna!!!

Nanna We love you lots and I hope your birthday is everything you hope for it to be - even if we aren't there...lol. We love you lots and are sending all kinds of hugs your way!!!!

p.s. Yesterday was Aunt Melissa's B-day (one step closer to being the crazy cat lady LMAO) and tomorrow is DaddyZilla's b-day!!!!!! November is a busy month for us.

Playdate fun!

Today was playdate day and we had an excellent time as always. It was freaking COLD here - maybe not by Northern standards but it was C-O-L-D by Georgia standards. Lets just say that it has been 59 degrees in my house ALL day. The reason I'm mentioning what the temp was is because when my friend showed up this is what her little girl just had to wear:
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Yes her mom tried to change her mind but nope she's two and wanted to wear that LMAO. I about died when I saw her along with everyone else LOL

Pop Goes the Wiggles!

Last night The Zilla Family went to go see Pop Goes the Wiggles! It was super fun and we all ended up having a great time. At first Zilla wasn't digging it - he has a group singing phobia- but eventually he was just having an excellent time like every other kid in the place! Some friends joined us (eventually after they found parking..lol) and all the kids (and moms) danced the night away. The Wiggles put on a good show even if some of their jokes were kinda lame LOL. I can see why they are the richest people Down Under. Here are some pics from the night:

Do I look good in pink?

Um yeah no I don't really think it's your color sweetie! Oh and it's not my bed's best color either.

Splish Splash

Zilla was taking a bath....in the toilet! Yep thats right I was in the kitchen when I realized that Zilla was being a little too quiet and as a mom I knew that is never good so I went to find him. Where did I find him? In my bathroom playing in my toilet!!! Yep there was water all over him, my floor and there was a poof in the water! He got very upset that I caught him but was happy that i took off his clothes because considering that it's 59 degrees in my house wet clothes make for a VERY cold little boy!

C25K W1 D1...Again

Ok so yesterday I started back up with my Couch 2 5K program. So I left Zilla in his Daddy's capable hands and went to the gym to do week 1 day 1. I have to say that it was not as tiring or hard as I remembered it being the first time around. In fact I would venture to say that I enjoyed it, I didn't even break out in a sweat or get all red. For those that don't know me IRL my face gets super red, think tomato, when I'm hot. There isn't anything I can do about it and it can be quite embarrassing because to others it looks like I might pass out soon or I need a doctor. Anyway that didn't happen yesterday it was almost like my body remembered and was just accepting the fact that it needs to change. I also did some arm and ab workouts before I left to go home. It was a very productive day!

Today is going just as well it's not even 8am and I've already some excersize but I plan to do some more during nap time and we have the Wiggles concert tonight so it will be a great day again! Now to just watch what I eat and I'll be well on my way to my former cute self!

Zilla's Crazy Night

My poor baby had a bad night. First off mommy was super mean and turned off Thomas so that we could take a bath and then I tried to comb off some of his insane cradle cap that he still has. He was not really into the whole comb thing, he kept taking the comb from me saying "no more" and setting it down on the side of the tub..lol. After that I washed his hair (that in and of itself is a horrible expereince for him) but after I rinsed his hair out he slipped and hit his head pretty hard on the tub. See he's been having some constipation issues lately and while I was washing his hair he was standing on one leg trying to hold it in and thats why he slipped. If he had been standing on both feet he would have been fine but instead he will now probably have a nice fat bruise on the side of his face. Well after we got out of the tub he began to show signs of needing to poop and I held him and assist in getting it to come out - its not as fun as it sounds really - and he dropped the biggest turd I've ever seen on my FOOT - yes my foot and the carpet. He was pissed but DaddyZilla was able to calm him down while I cleaned up. Then (yes theres more) I clipped his nails. I know your thinking I'm so mean for doing his nails after all that happened but see the way I look at it it was the perfect time because he was already having a crappy night so no sense in ruining a good night right? Anyway he's asleep now and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for him!

Plans

In my sidebar I have put up a blinkie thing for the C25K because I'm going to be starting that again. I had started it before DZ got home but once he got home life got a little crazy and the gym daycare was no longer free so I stopped doing it. Well I have come to the realization that well I'm very disappointed in how I look so I have told DZ that he will be watching the boy at least 3 times a week so that I can go to the gym and run. I need to get my azz in shape so that I can feel better about myself not to mention be a better example for my son. Anyway I'm pretty sure if you click that blinkie it will take you to something that explains the program if you want to start with me! I'm starting this Monday. Wish me luck!

Also we had previously thought that the Army was going to be moving us to Alabama but well DZ just found out that because he signs out on Christmas Day that IF we did that the moving people would more than likely have to pack us up before Christmas. Well Christmas isn't really Christmas if we don't have a tree or furniture or anything so we are seriously considering doing a DITY (do it your self) move now - FUN. Or not - I hate moving but it can't be helped. Blah.

I am planning on making Zilla a cool under the bed train table. I had been thinking about it for a while now but it seemed a little complicated so I was putting it off but I found some awesome directions here so we are gonna see about attempting that - Zilla would LOVE it like crazy. We of course would make it to fit under a toddler bed since thats what he'll hopefully be sleeping in when we move - yes he's still in his crib - shut up i know and we are going to just not put the crib up when we move. Anyway I'll let you know how it goes.

Movie Review

Last night DaddyZilla and I dropped the boy off at my Brother and SIL's house so that we could go and have a nice night by ourselves before we move. We went to go see Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa. It was FUNNY - like seriously worth the money to go see it. We had an excellent time and even though we had movie passes (THANKS BRI) we still ended up spending like $20 - damn movie food and drinks. Who decided it was ok to charge $5.00 for a drink that cost them 20cents? Of course DaddyZilla wanted popcorn too. Blah oh well the movie was practically free (we did have to pay $1.50 upgrade fee to see the new flick) so we can't complain too much. Anyway it's funny as can be, even funnier I think than the first one, so go see it!

On a side note - Zilla did wonderful hanging out with his cousin and aunt & uncle. They had tons of fun playing with trains and cars together and made a total mess but that's what 2 and 3 year olds do best I guess! Thanks Aunt A and Uncle A - y'all rock!

Oh the joys of toddlerhood

Last night my darling son decided it would be a good idea to take a drinking glass and throw it down in the kitchen. We have ceramic tile in our kitchen so the glass never stood a chance. I was beyond pizzed at him because he didn't just drop it he threw it down on purpose. I had to lock him in his room while I cleaned it up. He continued to be a brat until bedtime. Before 7am this morning Zilla had turned on the "tb", complained that it was on the news, got into the diaper bag and demanded a snack from the container, stole a tide to go pen and threw it when he got caught, and destroyed the folded clean clothes.

Helping a fellow blogger out!

I read her interview about this book and it seems very interesting so I thought I'd post this here to try and give her at least maybe an extra vote or two. I'm off to vote for her!!

THE AMERICAN TITLE V CONTEST HAS BEGUN!

The American Title contest is a joint project between Romantic Times Magazine and Dorchester Publishing. Each year, Dorchester selects a handful of submissions to compete for a publishing contract, and YOU, the readers, get to choose the winner.

You don't have to vote for Jessica, or vote at all, to win. (But Jessica sure hopes you will!)

The winner may choose a gift certificate from Amazon, Powells, Fictionwise, or even iTunes (because audiobooks deserve love too).

9 Things We Hate About Everyone

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?

2 People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the T.V... remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.

3 When people say 'Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too'. Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

4 When people say 'it's always the last place you look'. Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they? Gonna Kick their asses!

5. When people say while watching a film 'did you see that?'. No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.

6 People who ask 'Can I ask you a question?'.... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?

7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn't be new.

8 When people say 'life is short'. What the hell?? Life is the longest damn thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?

9 When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks 'Has the bus come yet?'. If the bus came would I be standing here, dummy?

Whats for Dinner? Zilla Style

Ice Cream - yep thats what the boy decided he'd eat for Dinner Sunday night. He refused to eat anything and trust me I tried besides ice cream. This was also with us having nothing for lunch!! I swear I don't understand kids and their eating habits - i was about ready to chew off my own arm I was so hungry but guess he wasn't. Oh well we know he's not starving or anything!

Fun at 4am!

Yes you read that correctly - we were having all kinds of fun at 4AM. Twice actually BLAH. Saturday night Zilla decided somewhere around 11:45pm that he didn't really feel like sleeping so he and I got up and had tons of fun until about 5am when "we" finally went to bed. Here are some pics of what Zilla just had to do instead of sleeping.

Zilla also decided on Sunday night that he didn't really feel like sleeping through the night so he got up around 2am and fell back asleep again somewhere close to 7am!! Yes thats right I had the pleasure of getting NO FREAKING SLEEP this weekend. I had about 8 hours of sleep - yeah it was super duper fun for Zilla and I both being all really tired! Or not.

Fun at Nanna's House!

This weekend we took a trip down to Florida and spent some time with Nanna. Zilla has a great time at Nanna's cause she always has some rockin toys to play with! Here is one of the super new cool toys Nanna pulled out for this trip. You put the cars on it and "charge" them and they race around the track by themselves. Zilla also enjoyed putting the "boulders" aka Nanna's glass fruit oranges on the track.

He loved playing in the tub and having bubbles! He really dug it when Nanna blew the bubbles out of her hand into the air! He also really enjoyed putting his crayons into a holder I made and then taking them out again - the joys of toddlerhood!!
