Slaving over the stove ALL day

That's what I did today. I have been baking for the majority of the day. So one would think that my house should be filled with the intoxicating aroma of cookies, pies,or breads right?

Yeah well you'd be WRONG cause I haven't been baking yummy baked goods - even though those sound really good right now - I have been baking sand. Yep I said sand. Monday morning we had a crazy amount of rain I mean it was like a monsoon outside. Anyway I looked out the window to see that someone, not me, left the sandbox lid off Sunday night and when I ran out there to cover it there was already about 3-4 inches of water sitting in it. So it still had water in it today and the only way besides sitting it in the sun for like a year to dry it was to bake it dry. I'm almost done doing that and we will be much more diligent in making sure the lid is on from this point forward.

John Deere Mom - You know I really really thought about just chucking it all but well we live in a small town and that would mean driving to the next town over to hope that Walmart had some sand left (it runs out quick around here) and I just didn't feel like it! It was easier -i know that doesn't sound like it- to just bake the sand. Oh and not to mention that when we got the sand from walmart it was pretty damp cause they keep it outside. I wanted DRY sand since more than likely Zilla will just end up bringing it inside - easier to vacuum that way LOL
